George Springer

World Series MVP. After struggling in the ALCS series with the Yankees, Astros’ outfielder came alive. It started in the ALDS and continued to the World Series where he became the first player to  hit homeruns in four consecutive WS games. He tied Reggie Jackson and Chase Utley for most total homers in a WS with five and set an all-time record with 29 total bases in a WS. He hit .379 in the Series and ended the year with 34 homeruns and a highlight reel of great plays from the outfield, including a game-saving catch at the centerfield wall in the sixth game of the ALCS. His walk-off single in Game 5 to give the Astros a wild 13-12 win and put them up 3-2 in the Series.
